A master class on creating mirrors using macrame technique, with a full and detailed video description of the entire weaving process. The skill level is a beginner. The size of the mirror can be any and depends on the size of the workpieces.

Stages of the video lesson:

✩ how to weave a cone pattern using the macrame technique;

✩ how to calculate the pattern repeat;

✩ what cord consumption goes to different diameters of mirrors;

✩ where to order an acrylic mirror blank;

✩ where to order wooden rings;

✩ how to glue a mirror to the finished ring;

✩ how to make a fringe;

✩ how to make “rays” of fringe evenly and of equal length

Materials:

✩ Macrame cord Maccaroni Macrame Rope 4 mm, or Maccaroni The Wall 5 mm (or 3 mm) - 1 or 2 skeins;

✩ basis for strapping. In the video, I use a 29 cm plywood base. But, it can be of any diameter;

✩ Acrylic mirror blank with a diameter of 29 cm;

✩ The size of the workpiece can be any, only when ordering, specify that holes for the hook are not needed;

✩ Instead of an acrylic blank, you can use a real mirror, just consider the strength of the glue, because the real mirror is heavier and easier to break

✩ Hook 5-7 mm (it is needed when pulling the cord for the pattern of cones);

✩ Sharp scissors

✩ Glue gun, or nano-adhesive tape, or double-sided tape

✩ Fringer. I use a animal scratcher. You can use a regular scallop

✩ Cardboard for stencil

✩ Centimeter, or ruler
